Cricut Imagine

The Cricut Imagine was unveiled at the Craft and Hobby Association exposition in July 2010, and allows users to both print and cut on the same page. The Cricut Imagine is the result of a joint program between ProvoCraft and Hewlett Packard.http://www.cricut.com/imagine/

The Cricut Imagine was unveiled by manufacturer ProvoCraft at the Craft and Hobby Association expo in Chicago, IL in July 2010. The Cricut Imagine combines the functionality of a full color printer with a personal cutting machine, allowing users to both print and cut on the same paper using the same machine. No release date has been provided for the Cricut Imagine.
Cricut Imagine Features and Functions
- The Cricut Imagine has an LCD screen that is similar to the Cricut Gypsy that is navigated using a stylus. The Gypsy will be usable with the Cricut Imagine.
- Paper up to 12" x 12" can be cut and printed in the Cricut Imagine. Cut shapes can range from 0.5" to 11.5".
- The Cricut Imagine is fully compatible with all existing Cricut cartridges. Additional specialized cartridges will be available specifically for the Cricut Imagine to take advantage of its functions.
- No computer is required to use the Cricut Imagine.
- The Cricut Imagine will use HP inkjet cartridges. The inkjet component of the Cricut Imagine is manufactured by HP and sent to ProvoCraft for installation.
- The Cricut Imagine uses the same blades as the other Cricut machines, but will have specialized cutting mats.
